I fell in love with the idea of an E-Book reader when I saw a friend using her Kindle to read a newspaper. I've wanted one ever since, but the price always made it prohibitive. Still, I've been looking at both the Kindle and Sony eBook reader for awhile. This past Valentine's day, I came across a... Read full review »

I have researched and thought about buying an eReader for some time now, and had just about convinced myself that I was going to buy a Nook when I came into possession of a PRS-600 by unfortunate circumstances. My grandmother recently passed, and when she did so she left a PRS-600, less than a year... Read full review »

(Not sure why the Epinions link says "No longer available"...this just came out!)

I've wanted an E-Ink based eBook reader for some time and with recent growth in availability of titles (but still not where I wish it was) and a looming price war between Sony and the Amazon Kindle I finally... Read full review »

Pros Good flexibility in ebook formats, including ones from libraries.
Cons Heavy, blurry text, and way too expensive.

I originally got a Sony Reader because of the wide range of formats it accepted, including books from my library's ebook collection. I also liked the idea of a touch screen, and the color was pretty so I went for it.

Unfortunately, it was pretty much unreadable. I read six books on this... Read full review »

Great idea with myriad issues.

Cons Charging issues, awkward interfaces, insufficient documentation, sluggish.

The PRS 600 with its approximately paperback size, has dropped in price to $199 after Sony put the new Daily on the market.
It is as such momentarily the leader of the low priced leaders, although the emergent Nook, at $249 with a $50 dollar gift card, is possibly the better for the net price... Read full review »

I have been watching eBooks and the available hardware for them for years. When the Kindle came out, I spent some time with one and liked it but was concerned about the proprietary nature of the format and the inability to "share" my books.

Then the Nook showed up and I was... Read full review »

I have utilized the Touch Edition PRS-600 for a little over a month and have finished 3 complete books so far. Beyond stating that the glare is easily avoided and the touch screen is fast, efficient, and easy. I am only going to analyze one feature because it would take me forever to present all of...
